Sale to sign one more
August 15 2008
Sale Sharks boss Philippe Saint-Andre has revealed he will make his final close-season signing next week that will complete a bumper title-chasing squad.
The club's Director of Rugby has already added seven players to his outfit as he looks to propel them back into the top four of the Premiership.
And ahead of the friendly against Leeds next week, Saint-Andre revealed his plans to bring another player to Edgeley Park.
"We will announce one further player signing on Monday and with Kristian Ormsby due to join us shortly our squad will then be complete and ready for the challenges ahead," he said.
The Sharks embarked on a two-game pre-season tour of Saint-Andre's homeland last week, which he described as an "excellent bonding session" before admitting that tougher tasks lie ahead.
"The Premiership is the toughest league in the world and we will need every member of the squad to be able to step up to the mark when selected, if we are to achieve our targets," he continued.
"We are also in tough groups in the EDF Challenge Cup and Heineken Cup, but to be one of the leading clubs you have to play well regularly, as we did when we won the Championship."
