Springboks slide down ladder
August 25 2008
South Africa have had their woes slightly compounded post defeat to Australia as Robbie Deans' men leapfrogged them into second spot on the IRB World Rankings.
Defeat for the Springboks in Durban last week was their third in four games in this season's Tri-Nations competition with pressure subsequently mounting on boss Peter de Villiers.
And with the Wallabies 27-15 result behind them, another victory this Saturday in Johannesburg could widen the margin further from the current 1.24 points.
