Bad blow: Ndungane suffers a torn groin

The Blue Bulls have suffered setback with the news that wing Akona Ndungane has torn his groin against the Griquas and will be out for at least two weeks.

Dr Org Strauss confirmed at Loftus Versfeld on Monday that Ndungane's injury is much worse than what was expected, but the Springbok will immediately begin rehabilitation in order to make the possible final.

However, there is a boost for the Pretoria side as Rayno Gerber (Achilles) and Danie Rossouw will be fit for the semi-finals.

Next up for Frans Ludeke's side is a home encounter against the Valke at Loftus Versfeld that finishes their Currie Cup regular season.
