Henson banned for mystery transgression

October 10 2008

Gavin Henson has reportedly been banned by the Ospreys for internal disciplinary reasons for the first two Heineken Cup matches of the season.

The ban means Henson will miss both the Ospreys' trip to Leicester on Sunday, as well as the home clash against Perpignan next Saturday.

The Ospreys have so far kept quiet on the ban, which was reported by the BBC, but it would have to have been a serious offence, as the Ospreys are alrady missing Sonny Parker for the Leicester match with injury, and are short of cover for the centre position.

It may also affect Henson's chances of November Test appearances, as he has started only one game this season because of injury.
