Kelly Brown: Dropped

Glasgow lock Kelly Brown and Edinburgh lock Matt Mustchin have both paid for game-turning yellow cards in last week's Heineken Cup matches with their place in their respective side for this week's games.

Lock Brown is one of four players to go from the Glasgow squad, with props Justin Va'a and Moray Low and lock Opeta Palepoi also gone from the team that lost to the Dragons.

"Some parts of our game last weekend were not good at all," said caoch Sean Lineen to Scotland's Daily Record.

"Kelly admitted his performance level has not been up to its usual level.

"In the case of Moray, there is a touch of second-season syndrome in that opponents now know what he can do, so they target him. We know what has been going wrong and we know what to do about it."

Meanwhile, Andy Robinson has dispensed with Mustchin's services for a week, after Mustchin gave away a yellow card just as his side was fighting its way back into the 27-16 defeat against Leinster.

Mustchin was lucky to escape with only a yellow card for his blatant trip on Ireland winger Rob Kearney at Murrayfield.

Also out of the trip to Castres is Test utlity back Hugo Southwell, who makes way for fit-again Ben Cairns at centre.

"The penalty Matt gave away stopped us from claiming a bonus point," said Robinson.

"The fact that he got sin-binned was a real disappointment and we decided the right thing to do was to leave him out.

"This is a statement about us having standards. Incidents such as that can affect results and in this case it stopped us putting pressure on Leinster in the later stages."
