Bulls duo training with Boks

South Africa have called-up Bulls full-back Zane Kirchner and flank Dewald Potgieter to join them at training this week.

The pair were part of the Emerging Springboks team that held the British & Irish Lions to a 13-13 draw at Newlands in Cape Town last Tuesday.

And the impressive duo have joined up with the squad for their first training session of the week in Fourways, with the Boks looking to record a series whitewash in Johannesburg.

"Zane and Dewald impressed against the Lions and we felt there was an opportunity to invite them to training this week with a view to their possible future involvement in the Springbok squad," said coach Peter de Villiers.

"While we are busy with a short term goal of winning the series, we're putting the long term in place," said De Villiers.

The Springbok team to face the Lions at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday will be announced on Thursday.
