New challenge: Nathan Hines

British & Irish Lions second-row Nathan Hines has been confirmed a Leinster player for the upcoming 2009/10 season by Perpignan.

Club President Paul Boze confirmed on Monday that the Catalans had lost their influential forward to the European champions, with the 32-year-old ending his four-year tenure in France.

The 58-times capped Scotland lock was tipped to earn a Lions call-up for the second Test against South Africa but missed out due to suspension.
