In English please Ethienne: Language request at Saracens

The longer-term home of Saracens remains in the balance after a meeting with Watford FC left the English club with plenty to ponder.

An article in Monday's Watford Observer has described how the football outfit's hierarchy placed 'cards on the table' during last week's talks, which covered issues that included the future ground share at Vicarage Road.

Chief Executive Edward Griffiths reportedly spoke to his Championship counterpart, with recent rumours of the two sides going their separate ways seemingly gathering in momentum.

"Either club could activate a break clause in the summer of 2010, which would allow Saracens to leave Watford's ground the following year," read the local newspaper.

"Both parties have expressed their desire to change the previous 'tenant and landlord' relationship, despite previous speculation Sarries may be moving to Fulham FC's Craven Cottage stadium in south-west London."

Towards the climax of last season Saracens confirmed that fifteen players - many still contracted to the English club - would not be required for the 2009/10 campaign.

Since then there has been a growing number of South Africans heading north to Vicarage Road, with one inside source revealing that the club have remarkably been forced to ban Afrikaans being spoken at pre-season training.
