North Harbour crying Wulf
August 11 2009
North Harbour coach Craig Dowd has been forced to rule All Blacks winger Rudi Wulf out of his starting line-up, after an unfortunate incident at training.
Dowd confirmed one of the backs threw their foot into the air and Wulf ran straight into it, resulting in eight stitches above and below his eye.
Meanwhile, Dowd has responded to his team's loss to Tasman by making seven changes for the Air New Zealand Cup match against Otago on Thursday.
North Harbour followed up their first round victory over reigning champions Canterbury by going down 15-19 to Tasman at home, a setback Dowd has not allowed to pass without a selection response.
All Black Luke McAlister has been installed at fly-half, demoting Mike Harris to the reserves bench.
