Sharks' halfback pair in doubt

Sharks fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez and scrum-half Rory Kockott could miss their side's clash with the Lions in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Hernandez sustained an ankle injury in his Sharks debut against the Leopards on Saturday, while Kockott is struggling with a shoulder injury he picked up a fortnight ago.

Guy Cronje and Charl McLoed will start in their place should they fail a fitness test later this week.

The Sharks are currently in second place on the Currie Cup table after their emphatic 44-15 victory in Rustenburg.

Meanwhile, they could be bolstered by the return of Springboks Odwa Ndungane and Deon Carstens, who missed the Leopards match with hamstring and rib injuries respectively.
