Bearman surgery a success - Dragons

February 08 2010

Successful surgery: Joe Bearman

Dragons back-row Joe Bearman has undergone a successful operation on his groin, the Welsh region confirmed.

The Rodney Parade outfit had been weighing up whether surgery was the right course of action before deciding the 30-year-old would be better served having the problem resolved by going under the knife last Friday.

"Joe will now be following a rehabilitation programme which should see him back in action for the region before the end of the season," read a statement released by the Dragons.

Bearman was in line for a call-up to Wales' November squad before the injury foiled his chances of an international debut, with the Six Nations also out of reach due to the same issue.
