NZRU: 'We're rapt to have Chris back'

Saracens forward Chris Jack has re-signed with the New Zealand Rugby Union until 2011, giving himself more than a chance of making the All Blacks' World Cup side.

The 30-year-old lock, who left both Crusaders and New Zealand for England following their 2007 Webb Ellis exit, joins Luke McAlister in setting his sights on the tournament that his native country is poised to host.

NZRU General Manager Neil Sorensen was delighted with the news and hailed the 67-times capped Jack's experience as a welcome bonus for New Zealand rugby.

"We're rapt to have a player like Chris back with all his experience. It's great for our depth, he's eager and highly motivated," Sorenson said.
