Hearing date set for Harlequins
June 06 2009
Harlequins have had their disciplinary hearing into a blood substitution that took place during the Heineken Cup fixture with Leinster set for July 2 and 3.
The Guinness Premiership outfit, if found guilty, could face being fined or even suffer a possible points deduction, with the draw for next season's elite northern competition being made this coming Tuesday.
Dean Richards' side have already qualified for the 2009/10 Heineken Cup as one of seven English representatives, but footage from the clash has seen the matter furthered to the forthcoming hearing.
New Zealand fly-half Nick Evans had limped off in the 47th minute, before his replacement Chris Malone was then helped off hurt. Evans though, reappeared after Tom Williams departed late in the game, with television footage appearing to show the winger winking as he left.
Evans, Harlequins' principal kicker, rifled a late drop-goal attempt wide as they bowed out of Europe, beaten 6-5 at the Twickenham Stoop.
