Harlequins rubbish Chambers link
July 26 2008
Harlequins have moved to deny all reports linking the Guinness Premiership club with sprinter Dwain Chambers.
There have been reports suggesting that the former Great Britain athlete, who last week lost an appeal against his Olympic ban, would be taking up a role at the club as a sprint coach.
A statement released by Harlequins Chief Executive, Mark Evans, said the stories were inaccurate and deliberately misleading.
"Dwain Chambers has not, and will not, be employed by the club in any capacity," said Evans.
"The sprint coach, currently used by the Harlequins players, is the highly-rated and well known specialist, Tony Lester, coach to many past and present GB sprinters."
