January 28 2010
London Irish announced on Thursday that Defence Coach Dave Ellis has extended his contract with the Club.
Ellis who ranks among the most highly regarded defence coaches currently working in rugby, originally joined the Exiles on a one year contract last August. He has now committed to stay with the club until the end of the 2010/11 season and will also continue in his role with France.
"I am delighted to be staying at London Irish," said Ellis.
"On returning to Premiership rugby in England, I wanted to be part of a club that has real determination and ambition, London Irish is one of the most driven teams I have ever worked with.
"This is something that has impressed me the most since joining and I have no doubt that we are going places."
"It is encouraging for London Irish's future as a top team in the Guinness Premiership that an internationally renowned defence coach like Dave Ellis has committed to the club," said London Irish's Head Coach Toby Booth.
"It is another sign of this club's intent to rank among the best in this country and Europe."
