Peel deal hands boost to Sale

January 29 2010

Staying put: Dwayne Peel

Sale are delighted to announce that Dwayne Peel has signed a new two-year deal with the English club.

The 28-year-old scrum-half joined in 2008 from the Scarlets and has made a big impression in both England and the Heineken Cup.

"I am really pleased that Dwayne has committed to a new deal," said Rugby Director Kingsley Jones.

"He could have had his pick of other clubs to join but has committed himself to Sale Sharks and he will play a very important role with the club.

"He is a complete professional both on and off the field and is a very well respected member of the squad."

Peel said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sale Sharks and have been made to feel very welcome from day one.

"We have a good set of players at the club and I am looking forward to helping them achieve success in the next two years.

"I still have ambitions to play for Wales too and hope to put myself into contention for a call up before the end of the Six Nations."
