Five new coaching deals at Saracens

February 02 2010

Staying put: Al Sanderson

Saracens have extended the contracts of the club's entire senior coaching staff, the club announced on Tuesday.

Alex Sanderson and Paul Gustard, two of the outstanding young coaches in English rugby, have both signed two-year extensions, and kicking coach Dan Vickers has also agreed a new two-year contract.

Mark McCall (first team coach) and Andy Farrell (back-line coach) remain on long-term contracts at the Vicarage Road outfit.

"We are working hard to develop a culture of success at Saracens, and continuity and stability are absolutely critical. So it is magnificent news for everybody that our outstanding young coaching staff have confirmed their commitment to the club," said Director of Rugby Brendan Venter.

"The energy and enthusiasm of this coaching group is fantastic, and I'm delighted we will be staying together for the foreseeable future."
