Injury boost for Cheetahs

February 03 2010

Good to go: Meyer Bosman

Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has received a boost ahead of the opening match of the Super 14 with a number of players returning from injury.

The biggest boost is the return to fitness of Meyer Bosman who has been struggling with a knee injury that has kept him out of the pre-season thus far.

Bosman will be fit to start in the midfield alongside Corne Uys who also returns to duty after being sidelined with a cut face.

Fly-halves Louis Strydom and Naas Olivier as well as scrum-half Tewis de Bruyn are all back in training and in with a chance to face the Bulls next weekend.

More good news for Cheetahs fans, is that Springbok flanker Heinrich Brüssow has recovered from a knock to the leg. South Africa's star of last season took a knock during an internal pre-season warm-up on Friday, and was causing some concern in the team camp
