Blues beset by Williams injury
February 05 2010
The Blues have been hit by a fresh injury worry, with full-back Paul Williams taking a blow to the head in the 21-12 defeat to the Crusaders on Friday.
Williams is set for a number of cognitive diagnostic tests ahead of the Super 14 opener against the Hurricanes next Friday.
But with him a doubt, George Pisi nursing a damaged shoulder, Anthony Tuitavake out indefinitely and Luke McAlister out for the first three Super 14 matches, Blues coach Pat Lam may have to use Rudi Wulf as full-back cover.
There is better news concerning lock Anthony Boric, with the team still reeling from the loss of Ali Wiliams to injury. Boric is likely to return to action next week.
