ENGLAND SLIPPED up at the start of this year’s QBE Internationals, but they’ll be hoping to get right back on track when they meet Australia in their final Test match of the year on Saturday. Stuart Lancaster‘s team lost 21-24 to New Zealand, before going down 28-31 a week later against South Africa, and although Lancaster and the other coaches have had to contend with a number of injuries in the team, fans have been disappointed to see that England‘s performances have been lacking in X factor. Mistakes and lack of creativity have stifled the team on the pitch, but Lancaster has rung the changes for the Wallabies’ visit to Twickenham, starting George Ford and Ben Youngs at fly-half and scrum-half respectively, and Billy Twelvetrees and Brad Barritt in the midfield.

England haven’t gone without a victory this month, and they beat Samoa 28-9 last weekend, in a match that kicked off at 7.30pm in preparation for next year’s evening World Cup matches. This Saturday will be the last time England and Australia meet before they face each other in next year’s all-important pool clash at Twickenham.
