Ben McCalman training with the Wallabies earlier in the week

An eye irritation for Ben McCalman has forced the Qantas Wallabies to make a late change to their starting line-up for tomorrow’s match against the Barbarians at Twickenham Stadium in London.

The Western Force No 8 has this morning been ruled out of the team, with his place at the back of the Australian scrum to be taken by NSW Waratahs loose forward Dave Dennis.

Dennis, who is the only uncapped member of the Wallabies starting XV for the game, last appeared for Australia against the Cardiff Blues on the 2009 Spring Tour. He completed preparations from No 8 at today’s Captain’s Run at the famous stadium in London’s South West.

With the Sydney University forward promoted into the run on combination, Queensland Reds No 8 Radike Samo has come onto the run on reserves bench.

Fellow Queensland Red and midfield back Ben Tapuai is the only uncapped player amongst the seven run on reserves.
