Okay, we expect some of you to get out the flaming torches and pitchforks because we haven’t picked [X player’s] try – clearly we’ve had a nightmare here – but these are the six scores we think are in the running for the best try of the Six Nations so far.

We have an Italian score, a Scots one, a Welsh one and three English five-pointers. Have a look at them, then vote on the poll below and vote for your favourite one.

Ghiraldini’s try versus Scotland

Italy may have fallen 36-20 to Scotland in a fast-paced, fraught match, but they were not passive losers. This slick and zipping move saw centre Gonzalo Garcia draw two men, pop to Mattia Bellini, who fed hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini who had the foresight to dummy, step inside and score.

Joseph’s second try versus Italy

Bath centre Jonathan Joseph had a field day against the Italians, scoring a hat-trick on the day, but this second one stood out thanks to the perfectly weighted grubber kick from scrum-half Danny Care.

Farrell’s try versus Italy

Again, England were into their rhythm against Italy by this point, but the line and offload from hooker Jamie George to send Owen Farrell over for the try was worthy of shouting about.

North’s try versus Scotland

Was this the point that Wales flyer George North came screaming back into form? It stood out either way, as he came infield on an angle that bamboozled flat-footed defenders, before putting down the hammer and racing in for the try.

Seymour’s try versus Wales

Scotland were hardly pushovers in their 27-23 loss to Wales, and while Duncan Taylor’s impressive score narrowly missed this list, it was the Tommy Seymour score from a deft Finn Russell chip that caught our eye.

Nowell’s try versus Scotland

You may be rubbing your eyes in disbelief – that was indeed substitute prop Mako Vunipola slipping a beautiful pass on the run to set up winger Jack Nowell for this try against Scotland. Slick play from the Saracens star.

So which of these was the best, in your eyes? Vote here!
