How did you get involved with rugby?

My family are very rugby-orientated, and my second cousin, David Corkery, played for Ireland. I played in school with my brother, Jody, who is also at Old Belvedere, while my dad, Paul, was my first coach.

Did you do other sports?

I played a bit of Gaelic Football as a kid, and I still enjoy golf and tennis.

Always played fly-half?

I’ve played at 12 as well.

Was last season your first with Ireland U20?

Yes, but I’ve played for the U18s and U19s too. It’s been fine physically but the tempo at U20s has been faster. Playing at senior level for my club has helped.

What about Leinster?

I’m in the academy and I’ve trained once or twice with the seniors, and that was a step up. It’s the minor details that count; things need to be perfect.

Who do you most admire?

Jonny Wilkinson and Brian O’Driscoll, and also Tony Ward and Ollie Campbell, my coaches at school and Old Belvedere.

RW Verdict: Crosbie’s surroundings, at home and at Leinster, will help him to become another top Dublin ten.
