Never, in the history of X Factor’s 6 years, has the winner played at such an iconic venue so soon after the live show. On the 27th December at Twickenham Stadium, Harlequins welcome both the X Factor Winner and Runner-up to perform at the LV=Big Game 3.
This will be Matt and Rebecca’s first major appearance since the X Factor TV show. Painter and decorator Matt was desperate to swap his paintbrush for a microphone and, after blowing the judges away at his London audition, has taken giant strides to make that dream a reality. Matt was mentored by Dannii Minogue and in the final performed a steamy duet with Rhianna.
Also appearing for a pre match performance is the gorgeous Rebecca Ferguson, who dueted with Christina Aguilera in the final for a stirring rendition of Beautiful. Oozing glamour, the Liverpudlian lass is overflowing with natural ability and star quality. “You have enormous potential….I’ve got a feeling about you’” said Simon Cowell.
Alongside both X Factor stars, Jamie ‘Afro’ Archer is back to perform his magnificent rendition of the Mighty Quinn, “Big Game 2 was by far my favourite gig since leaving X Factor and I can’t wait to perform again this year” said Jamie.
This year Harlequins are privileged to have Help a London Child as the charity partner for the special LV=Big Game 3 shirt [click here to buy]. In addition to money raised from sales of the shirt, Quins have pledged that £1 will go to this incredible charity on every ticket sold following the announcement of Matt’s involvement.
With 70% of seats being priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, it is great value for money – meaning you can spoil the family that little bit more at Christmas, see some great rugby, world class entertainment and help disadvantaged children in London.
Tickets for the match can be purchased from Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.co.uk) and you can stay up-to-date with goings on at either the Big Game website (www.thebiggame.co.uk), Harlequins Official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/quinsru) or via Twitter (@quinsrugbyunion)Like Rugby World?
