Knights’ Director of Rugby continues his Easter resurrection of the Doncaster squad by adding yet another name to the long list of re – signed players. Oli Goss joins such alumni as Chris Hallam, Andy Boyde, Dougie Flockhart, Dom Parsons, Latuu Makaafi, Zack Farivarz and Paul Devlin in signing on for another season with South Yorkshire’s top side.

Goss, who originally signed for the club as a Scrum Half has spent several seasons at Castle Park and has played in several positions. Having settled in to a role as Outside Centre this season Oli has provided the crowd with some champagne moments with his ability to find a break, his brace against Rotherham at Clifton Lane in the promotion play offs cemented his place in the hearts of the Knights faithful for example.

Goss told us, “Finding a role in the Centres towards the end of last season enabled me to play more rugby, but I’m here to do a job in whatever role Brett needs from me. As I‘ve shown over the years I‘ll give it my best shot in any position, whatever the club needs from me”

Davey commented “Capturing the signature of Oli Goss is especially pleasing for me because he is a young player I’ve seen develop over the past two seasons and I believe he has further quality to develop into. Oli gives us cover in a number of positions, but he has put his hand up to be a first choice player over the last few months and I’m sure he won’t give up that position without a fight”.
