Schalk Brits and co celebrate winning the 2011 Aviva Premiership

Saracens will play Toulon in their opening pre-season friendly.

The English champions will travel to the south of France and play at the Stade Mayol on Friday August 12th, kick-off 19h45.

Mark McCall, Director of Rugby, said: “It’s an appetising match to launch the new campaign, and we’re eager to test ourselves against the strongest opposition.”

Following their return home, Saracens will play three further friendly matches:

·         Friday August 19th (KO 19h00) – Bedford Blues vs Saracens at Goldington Road

·         Sunday August 21st (KO 14h30) – Saracens vs Esher at Old Albanians RFC

·         Thursday August 25th (KO 18h45) – Saracens vs Connacht at the Honourable Artillery Company, London

Tickets for the match at the HAC are limited, and may be booked by calling the ticket office at 01727 792800.
