The Brumbies were in Durban this week to play the Sharks (and they lost by the way 34 – 16) but before the match the squad were able to de-stress and have some fun paintballing. However many saw it as an opprtune moment to give captain Matt Giteau his leaving present or even a belated wedding present… Sure it wasn’t a pretty sight!
London Scottish win promotion to the Championship
Naughty naughty Delon Armitage. The repeat offender is banned for a further 3 weeks after punching Steven Myler. If your going to do something stupid, don’t do it next to an assistant ref or a camera. Not clever.
Joining Delon on the naughty step this week is Danny Cipriani and teammate Richard Kingi who were dropped by the Melbourne Rebels for the Super Rugby match against the Reds. However Kingi was able to return to the squad touring South Africa this week, but Cipriani was left out in the cold. He’s been left to fulfil his community duties back in Melbourne.
Staying in the Southern Hemisphere, Digby Ioane has found himself in a little bit of trouble over a tweet critisizing the referee after after his side, Queensland Reds played the Hurricanes. The incident moved the social networker to ban himself from twitter and was also A$2000 lighter after facing the SANZAR judicial board.
Andy Powell to leave Wasps.
John Smit has been linked to a move to Saracens.
