IF, like us, you’ve eaten too many mince pies over Christmas and the new year, then this conditioning drill should help you get your fitness back on track.

We went to Parmiter’s School in Hertfordshire to take a training session, as part of their prize for winning our Lucozade Sport Kit-Out Project competition. They won £3,000-worth of kit, plus nutrition and training advice – and, erm, the privilege of running their legs into the ground to demonstrate this drill for our video. Sorry guys!

Seriously though, it’s a drill that the likes of England Sevens use, so if you want to be as fit as some of those guys, then embrace the burn.

You can see what else Parmiter’s School first XV learned, and get some new exercises for your 2015 sessions, here.

The good news is, there’s still time for you to enter the Lucozade Sport Kit-Out Project. Visit lucozadesport.com/kitoutproject and register your team’s name. You can also browse the kit catalogue and see what’s available. Then, whenever you drink Lucozade Sport, collect the codes on the bottles and enter them on the website. The more codes you collect, the more kit you’ll get! You can see all the Kit-Out Project Ts&Cs at lucozade.com/kitoutproject.
