To celebrate the weekend's Aviva Premiership and Guinness Pro12 action, we've put together a slideshow of the weekend's best photos...

ON THE last weekend of league action before domestic rugby turns to Europe, the Aviva Premiership saw Leicester return to winning ways, as they beat Harlequins 22-16 on Friday night, and Peter O’Mahony return to leading Munster, who beat the Scarlets 17-6 at Thomond Park. Here are some of the best rugby pics from this weekend’s action.

Having faced one of the biggest weeks in Wasps history, the men in black and gold came away with a 29-22 win over Bath in front of more than 7,000 fans – their biggest home crowd of the season so far – to the relief of CEO Nick Eastwood, though coach Dai Young did suggest that if any fans had decided to bring eggs to throw, he would have been an easy target thanks to his size!

It wasn’t a rosy weekend for everyone, though, as London Welsh suffered their sixth straight defeat, 23-3 to Newcastle, and London Irish lost their second game on the bounce away at Exeter. There was disappointment in the Pro12 too, as Glasgow lost their first place crown to the Ospreys, and slipped to second place, as they were beaten 29-9 by Ulster. Italian teams were on the losing end this weekend too, with Treviso losing 6-9 to Connacht, and Zebre 3-20 to Leinster.
