Pre-match jaunt – Bream Head/Te Whara track
This track follows an ancient Maori trail from Urquharts Bay to Ocean Beach. The track climbs Mount Lion to the ridge line and becomes undulating and easy going. It eventually intersects with the Peach Cove track and climbs to the Te Whara/Bream Head summit. From the summit the track heads down to Ocean Beach and passes a World War Two naval radar station.
