A dominant South Africa bossed proceedings and ran 10 tries. They comfortably gained the bonus point they needed to top Pool B, after just 46 minutes. It was a classic tale of two-halves for The Springboks. Two tries in the first half gave them a 14-0 lead. However they turned on the afterburners in the second half scoring eight unanswered tries which will send out a warning message to the remaining teams in the tournament as they march confidently on to the knock-out stages. South Africa top Pool B and will play the loser of Saturday’s Pool A crunch game between Australia and Wales.

Even more World Cup history was made as Bryan Habana equalled Jonah Lomu’s World Cup try-scoring record. The winger scored three times in a devastating 19 second-half minute spell to draw level with Lomu’s record of 15 World Cup tries – Watch official World Cup highlights here.
