Bath team to face Quins

Bath Rugby welcome Harlequins to the Recreation Ground this weekend, as the two sides meet in Round 20 of the Aviva Premiership, kick-off 2.15pm. Following on from last weekend’s win against Exeter Chiefs at the Recreation Ground, Forwards Coach, Martin Haag, explains how important that win was, and the challenge that Quins will hold on Saturday. “Every game is important, especially when you play a local rival like Exeter. We were coming off the back of three losses, so it was very important we got the win. We made a lot of chances, although we didn’t finish them all as we would have liked, or start as we would’ve liked in terms of looking after the ball and so on, so it showed great character to come back from 0-8 down and win the game. That was really pleasing, and gives us confidence going into this game. “We know this is a big game, especially as it is at home. We haven’t had the best home form this season, and we only have two home games left so we are really looking to go for it. Quins have been playing some great rugby recently, and we know they have some good strengths, but this is about us and our game. We know what we need to do – we showed glimpses of it at the weekend, but need to do that for a full 80 minutes and from the kick-off. The lads want to play, and the conditions are pretty good at the moment, so if the boys work hard and keep focused, we’ll hopefully get the result and a good win.”
