Jacob is a freelance feature writer, who has also written for The Athletic, The Guardian, and The Telegraph. He studied at Durham and Cambridge, where he was named the David Welch Student Sportswriter of the Year. Blessed with a rugby-coaching father, he has played since he was six years old. However, he quickly turned to writing after discovering a life-long aversion to the gym was unlikely to help him make it as a professional.
