New Zealand have named a squad of 41 for the upcoming Rugby Championship. There are plenty of recognisable names in there, with only five potnetial new caps in the group.

Those five understandable includes lock James Broadhurst and full-back Nehe Milner-Skudder from the high-flying Hurricanes. Crusaders hooker Codie Taylor gets a call and there is no surprise that free-wheeling Highlanders winger Waisake Naholo makes the cut as well.

The last uncapped name, though, is Naholo’s team-mate Lima Sopoaga. He is brought in as a newbie fly-half and thus makes a list of four names vetted and respected enough to compete for the famous black No 10 jersey.

You are well aware of the other names in the running. There is jet-heeled Beauden Barrett from the Hurricanes. Colin Slade is there from the Crusaders, alongside a veteran playmaker by the name of Dan Carter.

So who in your opinion should start for New Zealand at fly-half in the first game of the Rugby Championship, against Argentina on Friday 17 July? Below is a poll for you to let us know which of the four players should direct play for the All Blacks.

The results will appear in the August issue of Rugby World magazine.
