Welcome to our British & Irish Lions 2021 latest news page, where you will find all you need to know about this year’s tour to South Africa.

The Lions will play a pre-tour fixture against Japan in Edinburgh at the end of June before embarking on an eight-match tour to South Africa spanning July and August.

As on their previous two tours to South Africa, the Lions will be taking on the world champions, the Springboks, in a three-Test series.

Head coach Warren Gatland has named a 37-player squad for the tour, which features 11 English players, ten Welsh players, eight Irishmen and eight Scots.

Wales lock Alun Wyn Jones will captain the Lions while Gatland’s coaching team consists of Gregor Townsend, Steve Tandy, Robin McBryde and Neil Jenkins.
